Laguna Heights Center
The LH Center is Island Baptist Church’s mission in the Laguna Heights community.
We offer a variety of ministries through this facility:
- A Children's Program
- Spanish Speaking Worship Services

LH Kid’s Club
We have a Kid’s Club Children’s Ministry at Laguna Heights. Children participating in these programs (outside of Sunday School) must submit a Medical Release Form annually. Mid August - May
Every Monday during the school year from 5:00-6:30PM children ages Kindergarten through 5th grade will enjoy dinner, a Bible lesson, and game time.
Summer Progam
Kid's Club summer starts June 11th and ends August 8th every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30am to 12:00pm for kids who have COMPLETED Kindergarten-5th grade. Children will take part in games, Bible stories, music, and snacks. If you need a ride, we offer van pickup from South Padre Island, Port Isabel, Laguna Vista, and Laguna Heights.
School Supply Giveaway
Mid-August every year we provide a variety of school supplies, backpacks, and school uniforms to students Kindergarten-5th grade in the Laguna Heights community.
Noelle Project
In December we give out Christmas Stockings (K-12) to kids in Laguna Heights. We walk door to door passing out the stockings or pass them out during our annual Posada which is held in the Bejarano-McFarland Memorial County Park.
La Posada
Every Christmas season Island Baptist Church sponsors a La Posada festival. The event is kicked off with a hayride style parade starting and ending at the Bejarano-McFarland Memorial County Park. Children, youth, and adults ride on flat bed trailers and sing Christmas carols and pass out candy as they ride through the streets of Laguna Heights. After the parade, a tamale plate dinner is served. After eating, the kids break a pinata and they receive a Christmas stocking. Music and a gospel message will also be shared with everyone.
Bible Study
We are pleased to offer every other Monday a Homeschool Bible Study and Playtime for kids of all ages.
